—  The Minnesota Vikings scored 28 points in the second half of a 31-17 win over the Chicago Bears at US Bank Stadium. Karl-Anthony Towns poured in 40 points in the Timberwolves 141-123 win over the Rockets at Toyota Center. The Minnesota Wild had some good luck in a 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals at the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

— The Vikings scored 28 points in the second half of a 31-17 win over the Chicago Bears at US Bank Stadium. The Viking overcame an early 14-0 deficit to pick up the win. Kirk Cousins passed for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, the Vikings recorded seven sacks, and Patrick Peterson had a pick-six. The Vikings finished the season 8-and-9, and they’ll have the 12th-overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

— Karl-Anthony Towns poured in 40 points in the Timberwolves 141-123 win over the Rockets in Houston. The Wolves held the lead for the entire second half, and they led the game by as many as 26 points. D’Angelo Russell finished with 22, and Jarred Vanderbilt added 21. Minnesota has won its last four games to improve to 20-and-20. The T-Wolves visit the Pelicans tomorrow.

— The Minnesota Wild had some good luck in a 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals at the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday. With Washington up 2-0 in the second period, the Capitals scored an own-goal on a delayed penalty to get the Wild back in the game. Then, Mats Zuccarello scored to tie the game with 35 seconds left in regulation. The WIld scored twice in the three-round shootout to win the game. Minnesota is 21-10-and-2, and they’ll next play the Ducks on Friday.

— The Gophers men’s basketball team has lost its last two games following a 73-60 setback to the Hoosiers in Bloomington. Jamison Battle scored 19 points in the loss, and Payton Willis added 18. The Gophers are 10-and-3, and they play number-10 Michigan State on the road on Wednesday.

— In college hockey action this weekend, the Gophers swept Michigan State in a two-game series, Minnesota State-Mankato won both of its games against Ferris State, Bemidji State went 2-and-0 against Lake Superior State, and St. Thomas was swept in a two-game set against Bowling Green.
