Minnesota school bus drivers are trying to raise awareness of a critical driver shortage in the state. Teresa Jakubowski is a school bus driver in Rosemount and says…

“There are not enough school bus drivers for schools to function normally, this driver shortage problem has been steadily growing over the years the pandemic accelerated it, and now the public is painfully aware of it.”

Jakubowski says many drivers who were struggling before the pandemic have had to leave and find other work. She says drivers should be eligible for better pay and unemployment benefits.
