A new report from Hunger Solutions Minnesota shows that only two-thirds of Minnesotans eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program–or SNAP–are enrolled. Peter Woitock with Hunger Solutions says one of the goals moving forward is…

“You know really trying to improve awareness around the program and reducing stigma.”

Woitock is encouraging lawmakers to make changes that make the SNAP application process easier. And he’s calling on the federal government to increase benefit levels and the gross and net income limits to qualify for SNAP.
