Attorney General Keith Ellison says Minnesota’s latest settlement with opioid manufacturers and distributors — over 300 million dollars — does *not* guarantee deception will end — and he says the state must maintain vigilance:

“You can never underestimate how clever a greedy person or company can be.  I mean, we’ve gotta stay sharp and be aware, and we need the public to tell us if they see something that doesn’t look right.”

This is the fifth settlement in about a year-and-a-half.  The agreement announced Wednesday is a multi-state, 26-billion-dollar settlement with Johnson & Johnson and three major pharmaceutical distributors.
