John Lithgow, who played Arthur Mitchell — a.k.a. the Trinity Killer — in the 2006-2013 Showtime crime series Dexter, is set to make a brief return appearance in the Michael C. Hall-led revival coming to the cabler this fall, according to Deadline.  Details of how Lithgow’s character — who was killed off during the series’ original run — will figure into the revival are being kept under wraps, but sources tell Deadline the writers “have concocted a pathway for the Trinity Killer to come back that works within the larger Dexter narrative.”  Lithgow is set to start filming his part in a week or so…

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his Seven Bucks producing partner Dany Garcia are developing a treatment for Red One, a holiday action-adventure comedy.  Variety reports that the new feature, which Johnson also will star in, will land at Amazon Studios for a 2023 holiday release.  Additional details on the film, including casting, have not been announced…

HBO Max has renewed Made for Love for a second season, according to Deadline.  The dark romantic comedy follows the tumultuous, suffocating marriage between Hazel Green — played by Cristin Milioti and her tech billionaire husband Byron Gogol — portrayed by Billy Magnussen — who has implanted the Made for Love chip, a monitoring device, in her brain.  Trying to regain her independence, she flees to her desert hometown to take refuge with her aging widower father, Herbert — played by Ray Romano — who lives with his synthetic partner, Diane, per the entertainment website…

(Undated) — Some stars of Bachelor Nation are defending themselves after news broke that they got money from the Paycheck Protection Program. The program aimed to keep small businesses afloat amid the coronavirus pandemic, but fans questioned why social media personalities needed the money. Tayshia Adams’ representative told TMZ the 20-thousand-dollar loan helped her hire an employee. Meanwhile, Colton Underwood’s representative said the reality tv star didn’t see a cent of the eleven grand instead it went to the Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation. The rep noted the foundation’s money goes entirely to people living with cystic fibrosis. Other stars including Arie Luyendyk, and Dale Moss have also applied.

Paris Hilton Opens Up About Her Documentary’s Impact

— Paris Hilton is opening up about how her documentary helped heal her trauma. Speaking to WSJ. Magazine, she spoke about how she used to have very bad insomnia. But, after filming This Is Paris, about alleged abuse at a boarding school in Utah, she feels better. She said filming was so therapeutic that she doesn’t have nightmares anymore. Since then she has been spending time on reforming institutions that are similar to the one she went to as a child.

Netflix Announces New Partial Downloads Feature

— Netflix is announcing Android users will be able to partially download movies and series and start watching before the download is complete. The streaming service said it will be testing the feature on Apple’s i-O-S platform in the coming months. The company said if for some reason the download is interrupted, because of loss of signal or maxed-out data limits, it will resume downloading once the device reconnects to the Internet. For now the feature is available on Android phones and tablets.

SKIMS Official Lounge Wear Of Tokyo Olympics

— Kim Kardashian’s clothing line SKIMS is going provide undergarments, pajamas and lounge wear for Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics. The reality star made the announcement Monday, posting photos on social media of American athletes sporting the new line. Kardashian says she has always admired Olympic athletes as she use to travel to the Olympic trials with her family when her step-dad Caitlyn Jenner would compete. She added it was an honor to design a collection for the U.S. Olympic team. The same designs will be available to the public on the company’s website.

Knives Out Two Filming Underway

— Filming for “Knives Out 2” is underway. Production began in Greece on Monday. Daniel Craig is set to reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc but other than that much of the movie’s plot is under wraps. The star-studded cast includes Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Leslie Odom Jr., Janelle Monáe and others.
