Governor Tim Walz has a proposal to allow certain high school seniors to automatically be accepted into college. The Star Tribune reports students who hit specific school benchmarks would automatically be accepted into certain colleges within the Minnesota State system. Under the plan, students would also be eligible to apply for state grants if they’ve graduated high school and have a household income of 80-thousand dollars or less.
