28 more Minnesotans died from COVID-19 as of Sunday.
It’s the biggest single-day jump in cases yet and the Minnesota Department of Health says, so far, 272 Minnesotans have died from coronavirus. Just over 32-hundred cases have been confirmed in the state. Of the most recent deaths reported, only five fatalities were not long-term care residents. As of Sunday 285 people remained hospitalized with COVID-19 and 115 were in intensive care. Minnesota Commissioner of Health Jan Malcolm is reminding Minnesotans it’s important to do their part to prevent additional deaths by continuing to follow social distance guidelines and other public health recommendations.
