The Minnesota Hemp Association (MHA) is joining health officials and anti-smoking advocates in calling for more changes in the wake of recent illnesses and deaths tied to vaping.

“We’ve asked for lawmakers to consider some additional funding to promote research behind some of these illnesses and to help better understand what the impact of vaping could be on a person.”

Spokesman Joe Radinovich says the MHA is also urging a statewide ban on vaping products for people under 21. In Minnesota last month, a 65-year-old man’s death was tied to a lung injury associated with vaping an illicit THC product.
