While the achievement of it's sports teams can be seen far and wide, Minnesota State University's impact in the surrounding community may not be as noticeable or get as much recognition. In a recent study on economic impact across all 30 state colleges and seven universities across Minnesota, estimates show that MSU's contributes just over 781 million dollars to the surrounding area per year. The study also concluded that MSU generates about $43,343,804 in tax revenues for state and local government.
