The Vetter Stone Amphitheater will be the place to be this July 4th, as the annual RED, HOT & BOOM celebration returns with live music and the area’s largest fireworks display.

This year’s FREE entertainment will include Americana troubadour ERIK KOSKINEN, along with Mankato music legends CITY MOUSE.

Music kicks off at 7:00 PM, with the riverside fireworks display going off promptly at 10:00 PM. Music choreographed to the fireworks will be provided and simulcast by the Radio Mankato stations – KATO FM (93.1), KXLP FM (94.1), KDOG FM (96.7), KXAC FM (100.5) and KTOE AM (1420).

Schedule of Events 7:00 PM City Mouse 8:30 PM ERIK KOSKINEN 9:45 PM Color Guard, National Anthem 10:00 PM Fireworks About Erik Koskinen Born in Fort Collins, Colorado, raised in Northern Michigan and upper New York State, then living in urban Minneapolis and now, rural Minnesota, Koskinen grew up with the rhythms of weather, factory towns, and farmlands.

Koskinen worked in construction for years as he developed his music career, and he now resides on a farm near where he owns a recording studio in Cleveland, Minnesota, population 717. His new album Burning the Deal, follows Cruising Paradise (2018), Live at the Real-Phonic Radio Hour (2016), America Theatre (2014), and Keep It to Yourself (2010).

This event is FREE to the public and all ages are welcome. Bring your own chairs.

Chairs are allowed into the Vetter Stone Amphitheater for Red, Hot & Boom. Belongings are subject to be checked by security.

This year’s annual Red Hot Boom 4th of July Fireworks Celebration will feature Erik Koskinen with City Mouse sponsored by KMSU!

 

Admission to this event is FREE. Guests are welcome to bring in outside food and beverages, and food and soft drinks will be sold on site. No glass containers, grills, drones or pets are allowed. Red, Hot & Boom is a production of the City of Mankato and Vetter Stone Amphitheater.
