Time to let out the waist on your grocery budget. An increase in the prices of eggs, milk, pork and beef is expected, due to higher prices for animal feed because of the drought.
Kevin Paap, the President of the Minnesota Farm Bureau tellls KTOE News that we won't see the increase right away, but in perhaps six to seven months.
The US Department of Agriculture predicts a 3 to 4 percent increase, but the prices of fruits and vegetables are not expected to be affected as much as dairy and meats.
