The Red Cross is putting out an emergency plea for blood donations. 

The Mankato Chapter of the Red Cross says blood supplies are strong here, but donations can be sent to areas with an urgent need.  Should the Mankato have a crisis, supplies would be sent here from other areas.

Bob Meyer, Executive Director of the Mankato Area Red Cross says the easiest way to find a donation date and location is to visit www.RedCrossBlood.org and put in your zip code.
