An early morning water main break left some residents without water this morning as the rushing water pushed up the street and sand and sediment wtih it. 

Tony Talamantez, Infrastructure Superintendent for the City of Mankato, says the 400 block of Broad Street  is affected by the water main break.   The repair could be done before noon if it turns out to be a simple break… but based on the way the water was escaping the pipe it looks like it could be a bigger job.
