An early morning truck accident closed Highway 169 just south of St. Peter throughout most of the early morning drive time this morning.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation told KTOE Radio News that drivers were rerouted onto Highway 99 or 22 as alternate routes until 169 reopened at 8:15am.

Drivers were backed up for many blocks, at a near standstill, as they approached the area.

MnDOT tells KTOE News that the driver was not injured.

St. Peter traffic backed up Thursday when an overturned truck shut down Highway 169 southbound.
