Drivers on Highway 14 will be seeing new safety features implemented to help alert distracted drivers. Accidents, particularly head-on crashes, on highway 14 from Nicollet to North Mankato were three times the state average. MN dot has installed an eight foot wide median, with rumble strips on both sides, as well as tube delineators to help keep drivers safe. MN Dot Public Information Officer Rebecca Arndt says the safety measures are only an interim fix that will last until the four-lane expansion from North Mankato to Nicollet is completed.
