Sheels Sporting Goods store in Mankato reports a handgun is missing from a display case. Sheels inventories all the guns each month, and some time between late September and today.

The Mankato police report describes the gun as a semin-automatic Smith and Wesson handgun model MP, 40-caliber, black, with a four and a half inch barrel. The gun was valued at $425 dollars.

Mankato police say they have no known suspects or witnesses and the gun’s serial number is registered with the NCIC.
