Plans to create a big, new senior community center in Mankato are a little closer today, with the purchase Monday afternoon of the Nichols Building by Vine Faith In Action.

The new facility being planned will have space dedicated to volunteer service, health, exercise, and education. Why does Vine need a five story building? Determan tells KTOE News that the current senior community center has only 24 parking spaces, but 500 people using the facility every week.
