A marsh wildfire last week has left behind smoldering peat which is generating thick smoke, at times. 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is posting warning signs for drivers on Highway 14 from Janesville to Smiths Mill, an area several miles east of Mankato. 

MnDOT says the smoke could be a problem for the next one to two days.
