A local college student got a chance to sing on a national stage… as St. Peter native Ben Westphal competed on the TV show X Factor last week.   Westphal did not make it past that round, but he said it was an amazing experience.

Westphal was face to face with Brittany Spears, one of the judges, and said he was surprised how close he was to them when he took the stage.

Westphal is a student at Gustavus Adolphus College… he has a large number of songs on his MySpace website, as well as on Sound Cloud.
