Preliminary reports indicate that September of 2012 may go down in the history books as the driest in history in our area.
Rick Hiltbrant, National Weather Service Meteorologist, referred to the Minnesota State Climatologist’s report, and told KTOE News that most of our listening area saw only a quarter inch of rain for the entire month.
It was the second driest September for the Twin Cities, and for St. Cloud.
