KTOE News talked with Mankato Department of Public Safety Commander Jeremy Clifton about the timeline for completion of the new Public Safety building downtown.  He told us that workers are in the final phases of work, painting door trim and installing doorknobs and other fixtures.

Clifton gave the thumbs up when we asked if we could take a look inside.  Below are photos of the self-guided tour.

As Clifton suggested, there was wet paint on stairway railings, numerous ladders where projects were in-progress, and of course many busy workers throughout the building, but it was easy to see that completion is just around the corner.

We could only guess what some of the areas would be used for, except, of course, for the fire pole which was laying on its side near the gated hole just off the fire house, waiting to be installed.
