With the drought making news across the nation, and the long, warm summer we’ve experienced here this year, Minnesota’s corn crop is coming in early. Dale Busch with the Minnesota Corn Growers Association says Minnesota will produce almost as much corn as last year, and if it weren't for the drought, Minnesota would have produced an unbelievable amount of corn.
But, the price is very high, which puts a hardship on those who use it such as ethanol plants and livestock farmers.
Busch says some corn farmers in southern parts of the state are already starting to harvest their corn, well ahead of schedule.
