Back to school always means being more careful… watching for school children crossing the street and school buses loading and unloading… but this year, with the Highway 14 construction already adding to traffic tangles in North Mankato, back to school will take extra care. 

North Mankato Mayor Mark Dehen says there will be heavy equipment moving along city streets this week, in addition to the already heavy detour traffic, as a local farm cannot use its usual routes due to construction.    

Students throughout the Mankato school system … as well as those in St. Peter… head back to school this week.
