Mankato Police have made arrests that may be tied to some of the recent local home and car thefts in the area.  Police say one of their conference room is piled with recovered stolen goods.

Detective Commander Matt Du Rose with the Mankato Department of Public Safety says 19 year old Brandon Dale Huser and 21 year old Benjamin Judson Scott Flower, both of Mankato, were arrested Wednesday after police tracked stolen goods being sold on Craigslist back to them.

DuRose says the suspects are alleged to have stolen items from a car, including a garage door opener, and then entered a home through the garage door and stole guns and other electronics.  In a separate incident, DuRose says the suspects are believed to have stolen items from a home in the middle of the night while the residents were asleep.

Requested charges include first degree burglary and theft of a firearm, but DuRose says other charges may be coming as the investigation continues and the suspects might be tied to other burglaries and therfts.
