Dana Vetter Simonson graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato this spring with an economics degree… and now she has been named one of four finalists in a prestigious international economics competition. 

Simonson beat out students from Princeton, Stanford, Rutgers and many other big schools with a paper she wrote for an economics course at MSU.   

Dr. Ihsuan Li is assistant professor of economics at MSU.  The winner will be announced Oct. 6 during the 74th International Atlantic Economic Society conference in Montreal, Canada and will have their research paper published in the Atlantic Economic Journal.
