The new Highway 14 between Waseca and Owatonna will open this Friday night at 9.  The 20-mile, multi-year reconstruction of Highway 14 began in July of 2008 and includes construction of five new interchanges including Highway 13 in Waseca and at Interstate 35 in Owatonna.  The construction cost was $108 million.  

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the expansion of Highway 14 to a four-lane roadway will improve safety and mobility along the corridor that stretches from New Ulm through Mankato to Waseca and Owatonna, and on to Rochester.
