Matt Westermayer, Deputy Director of Mankato Public Safety tells KTOE News that there continues to be a problem this summer with a series of thefts from unlocked cars, garages, and homes.  Westermayer says residents are making it easy for thieves to do their thing.

He recommends putting car chargers and GPS cradles out of sight, and stuffing electronics boxes out of sight inside trash cans, not sticking out or on the curb.  And, lock your doors.
