The Primary Election is next week… Tuesday August 14… but for voters in Mankato and North Mankato… things will be different this year because of redistricting. There will be fewer polling locations after precinct lines were redrawn.
Patty O’Connor, Blue Earth County Elections Director. Mankato drops from 19 polling places to 14.
In North Mankato, the precinct numbering system is being changed and there will be one fewer voting location.
You can call your county elections office if you are not sure where to vote, or go to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website http://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/
Smaller cities in the region will not see any changes.
