We’re just one week away from the public forum at the Mankato City Council to listen to opinions about the council possibly taking a stand on the Minnesota Marriage Amendment. The forum will be held on Monday August 13 at 7pm during the regular council meeting, in the Minnesota Room at the Mankato Governmental Center downtown.
City Manager Patrick Hentges says it’s important to sign up ahead of time by calling the City Clerk’s office. He tells KTOE News that as of Friday afternoon 19 people are signed up to speak. The two hours allotted for speakers will provide time for about 40 speakers, at three minutes each, so there is still time for interested people to sign up in advance.
