Federal Election Commission filings that were due July 25 show Republican Allen Quist with $118,000 to spend going into the August 14 primary election against state Senator Mike Parry.  Parry has $27,797 on hand.

 The winner of the Republican primary will run against incumbent Congressman Tim Walz, whose campaign committee reported just under $808,000.
