Incoming Republican Minority Leader Mark Johnson from East Grand Forks says, with Democrats having only a one-vote majority when the Minnesota Senate goes back into session in about a month-and-a-half…

“I think we are gonna be able to hold the majority to their promises they made during (the) campaign.  They promised to cut taxes.”

Incoming Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic from Minneapolis is noncommittal on whether Democrats will cut taxes:

“We will have those conversations with our members and in our caucus and…  I hope we get a lot of things that we put forward on our agenda that get bipartisan support.”
