Tapping of maple and other trees for syrup has been going on for hundreds of years before the arrival of Europeans to North America.  Come out to Flandrau State Park on March 26th (Saturday) at 10 a.m. for a demonstration on tapping of maple trees.

Meet at the day use area.  We will demonstrate what it takes to tap a tree, collect the sap and boil it to produce sweet syrup.  We will also talk about the history of tapping trees.
