It’s the time of year that ice conditions begin deteriorating.  Lisa Dugan is with the DNR:

“In areas in the northern part of the state there are still people driving out on the lake and there is still enough ice to support that in most places. And we’re seeing in the southern part of the state in the metro area the rivers are opening up. We’re starting to see more puddles on the lakes.”

Dugan says always remember no ice is 100-percent safe.
