On March 7th, 2022, Agents with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force were actively looking for 30 year old Patrick Isiakpere who had a felony arrest warrant issued by the Department of Corrections for violating his conditions of release. Agents also suspected that Isiakpere was in possession of a firearm based on social media video Isiakpere posted of himself holding a handgun. At approximately 6:00 pm Task Force Agents located Isiakpere driving an SUV near the MSU campus. Agents followed Isiakpere as he traveled south out of the Mankato City limits. Once the Trooper got behind Isiakpere he pulled into a parking lot, got out of the vehicle, and gave himself up. Isiakpere was arrested and booked into jail on his outstanding warrant. The vehicle he was driving was impounded pending the approval of a search warrant.
On March 8th Task Force Agents obtained a search warrant for the vehicle. During execution of the warrant Agents located a loaded Glock 9mm handgun, 22 suspected “Mbox 30” fentanyl pills, 9 suspected ecstasy pills and a small amount of marijuana.
