Gas prices continue to skyrocket. The national average for a gallon of unleaded today is $4.06, 45-cents more than a week ago. Here in Minnesota, we’re a bit below the national average at $3.77 a gallon:
“But that is still a pretty staggering number when we think about what we’re seeing at the pump versus a week ago. So if we are at 3.77 this week, we were at 3.45 last week — about 32 cents difference in just one week.”
Triple-A Minnesota’s Meridith Mitts says oil surged to a 13-year high Sunday as U.S. officials discussed the possibility of banning Russian oil imports in retaliation of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
