A new study indicates that child care costs in Minnesota have gone up during the pandemic. The Lending Tree study found the average cost per child for center-based childcare is up 41-percent in Minnesota. The student also found that center costs are going up because centers are paying teachers more to retain them. The total cost for one child at a child care center is an average of 18-thousand dollars a year.
