Adam Lindquist:

Teddy Roosevelt, the Strenuous Life

Saturday, February 26 at 10:30am in the BECL Auditorium

Watch living history speaker and educator Adam Lindquist bring the 26th President to life at the library! Adam is nationally known for his work for portraying Theodore Roosevelt. His uncanny resemblance and ability to bring Roosevelt to life earned him national reenactment titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and he is the only person to ever receive a perfect score in the competition’s 37-year history.

Adam is often asked, How did you get started “being Teddy?” It all began with a photo taken in Des Moines, Iowa. In it, he saw a striking resemblance to our 26th President. After doing some research, he discovered that he was the same height and weight, with the same color eyes and hair as Roosevelt. Since that day in 2007, Adam has enjoyed an incredible journey as he recreates an amazing, multi-faceted man. He is lucky to be able to entertain, educate, and engage thousands of people each year by “Being Teddy.”

Adam’s work takes him across the country, from schools to conventions, board rooms to theaters – all in the spirit and resemblance of Theodore Roosevelt. The comment he hears the most often is: “It felt like I was really talking to President Roosevelt!”
