Snow and cold have returned to Minnesota. John Marshall with Xcel Energy says you can save energy and money by turning your thermostat down, but he recognizes…

“Folks are working from home, we certainly have the electric grid working on that side to keep everyone’s lights on and the internet flowing, so people can continue working from home, so we do want them to be comfortable so definitely don’t sacrifice comfort.”

Marshall recommends turning the furnace down at night and when you’re away. He also recommends opening the blinds or drapes during the day to let the sun shine in.
