(St. Paul, MN)  —  The defense has rested in the federal civil rights trial of three ex-Minneapolis police officers.  Thomas Lane wrapped up his testimony yesterday saying that he couldn’t see  George Floyd’s face from his position near Floyd’s legs, and that he assumed a paramedic had found a pulse when they arrived.  The day Floyd died in May 2020 was Lane’s fourth day with the MPD.  Closing arguments are set to begin today, following jury instructions.
