(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesotans are showing their support for Ukraine as tensions rise between the country and Russia. About 100 people gathered on the steps of the State Capitol Saturday to rally behind the country facing possible invasion by Russia. Amy Klobuchar’s husband John Bessler spoke to the crowd, as well as several people from the Ukrainian American Community Center. U.S. Congresswoman Betty McCollum held a press conference with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in Munich at the same time as the rally, calling for diplomacy. The Minnesota Democrat and Pelosi spent the weekend at a security conference with NATO and non-NATO allies seeking a resolution to the conflict.
