Democrats and Minnesota’s front-line workers continue pushing for COVID bonuses in a virtual news conference this afternoon (1pm) at the State Capitol. D-F-Lers want a billion dollars for 15-hundred-dollar bonuses going to 667-thousand essential workers. The Republican-controlled Senate is scheduled to vote on its bill Monday that would designate 2.7 billion dollars to repay the federal government and replenish the Unemployment Insurance Fund. G-O-P leaders say the legislature should stick with the original 250-million-dollar figure for COVID front-line worker bonuses.
