(Minneapolis, MN) — First Lady Jill Biden says more federal money needs to be invested in child care. Dr. Biden appeared with U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra yesterday at the University of Minnesota to celebrate the use of federal funding from the American Rescue Plan for child care. She also talked about the potential for more aid through the stalled Build Back Better Act. Governor Tim Walz, Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, and Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz also attended the event.
