(St. Paul, MN)  —  A pulmonologist says George Floyd may have survived the trauma to his neck if officers on the scene would have intervened.  Dr. David Systrom testified yesterday as the federal civil rights trial of three ex-Minneapolis officers resumed.  Systrom testified that the three defendants who were on the scene of Floyd’s arrest and death could have made a difference in the outcome if they had done something to stop Derek Chauvin’s hold on him.  Systrom put Floyd’s likelihood of survival at “close to 100-percent.”  A Department of Corrections safety trainer and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner also testified.
