(St. Paul, MN) — Republicans in the Minnesota Senate are introducing a plan to help police recruiting across the state. Under the proposal newly hired police officers would be eligible for a bonus up to ten-thousand-dollars. Other funding would be forty-four-million for scholarships and tuition reimbursement and one-million-dollars on advertising for hiring law enforcement agencies. The total proposal is sixty-five-million-dollars.
