(Richfield, MN)  —  Police say the shooting in Richfield that left one student dead and another in critical condition “was not random.”  Fernando Valdez-Alvarez and Alfredo Rosario Solis were identified as suspects in the shooting and were both taken into custody Tuesday night.  The incident happened outside the South Education Center.  The Richfield police chief said the altercation was “possibly related to a previous dispute.”  A 15-year-old victim died from his wounds and a 17-year-old remains in critical condition.  A 19-year-old student also was hurt in the incident, but is only suffering from minor injuries.
