Richfield police say a disagreement among students led to the fatal shooting outside a Richfield school Tuesday.    Police Chief Jay Henthorne says it was an isolated event…

“The incident involved 5 South Education students. Individuals currently in custody, are Fernando Valdez Alverez 18-years-old of Minneapolis,  Alfredo Rosario Salas, 19-years-old of Minneapolis.”

The shooting happened over the lunch hour on the sidewalk outside the school. 15-year-old Jahmari Rice was declared dead. Another student, 17-years-old, remains in critical condition. A 19-year-old student was also hurt. Police have recovered two guns and are working to determine if they were used in Tuesday’s shooting.  The two suspects and three victims are all South Education Center students.
