“Look at your programmable thermostat, and consider, certainly if you’re not home if you are away or even at night time if you’re sleeping, have those thermostats automatically set to reduce during those times.”

Marshall says turning the furnace down at night and when you’re away can save you about 10-percent on your energy bills for the winter.
