(St. Paul, MN)  —  Health officials are reporting a record number of COVID-19 cases in Minnesota in January.  Officials say more than 275-thousand cases were announced last month, the highest monthly total for the pandemic.  Health officials say the highly contagious omicron [[ ahm-ih-kron ]] variant fueled the record number of cases.  The previous monthly record of 180-thousand was set in November 2020.
