(St. Paul, MN)  —  The federal trial against three former Minneapolis police officers is now in its second week.  Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner Andrew Baker testified Monday.  He gave many of the same answers that he gave in the state’s murder trial against former officer Derek Chauvin.  Doctor Baker testified that George Floyd’s death was caused by cardiopulmonary arrest complicated by police restraint and neck compressions.  The medical examiner also testified that Floyd died because he couldn’t breathe, and not from his enlarged heart or drugs in his system.
