(St. Paul, MN)  —  Testimony is expected to continue in the federal trial against three former Minneapolis police officers today.  A Minneapolis Police Department training commander testified focusing on the training and protocols taught to Minneapolis police officers.  Commander Katie Blackwell told the jury that officers are told they have a duty to intervene when another officer is using excessive or unnecessary force.  The prosecution is arguing that the three officers did not do their jobs when former officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on George Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes.
